The H.S. Group is looking for a part-time, results-oriented, organized and personable Recruiting Assistant to provide administrative support internally to the Recruiting Division.  This position is an entry-level role designed as an introduction to recruiting with career growth potential and is a unique opportunity for an individual for whom taking initiative is second nature.  Primary responsibilities include sourcing candidates, maintaining the recruiting database, coordinating the interview process, assisting with marketing-related activities, and providing additional administrative support as needed.  Job priorities will vary from day-to-day.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assists Recruiters with creating and updating job descriptions and postings.
  • Sources candidates and researches open positions through the use of internal tools, external tools, candidate referrals, networking, and web sourcing on a daily basis.
  • Coordinates interview schedules with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Coordinates background checks and references.
  • Maintains recruiting database including:
  1. Inputs candidate information for all resumes as required
  2. Downloads all relevant candidate documents into the database
  3. Updates and maintains candidate records throughout the recruiting process
  • Responds to candidate inquiries via phone and e-mail.
  • Sets up, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of social media recruitment.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Flexibility to work varying hours with a weekly schedule ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week.  Ability to periodically work additional hours to meet peak business requirements.

We are searching for an experienced and knowledgeable tax professional to join our client’s team and research and answer federal tax questions through using a variety of technical tools, including Internal Revenue Code, Regulations, CCH, RIA, PPC, and tax court cases.  This position communicates with association members, consulting with and helping them resolve all tax-related issues they face.  Individuals with previous tax experience and a strong emphasis on technical accuracy and clarity are desired.  Four-year degree in a related field with strong expertise and experience in tax code, regulations, theory and practice applicable to all areas of federal tax law.  CPA or EA is a plus.

Our client is searching for an Electrical Engineer to manage all electrical and instrument-related maintenance activities and assist with electrical power and instrument engineering for all engineering projects at the paper mill and support facilities.  An essential function of this position is designing and implementing electrical engineering process improvements that reduce costs and increase efficiencies.  A strong focus is placed on routine preventative maintenance and updates.  As needed, this position coordinates mill/machine shutdowns and project installations.  The Electrical Engineer is also responsible for overseeing the electrical documentation program, as well as developing electrical standards and specifications for equipment, including electrical isolation for lockout/tagout.  Another component of the position is supervising electrical engineering work performed by contractors or company crews.  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.  Experience in project engineering in a paper mill, converting or process-related manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsible for coordinating project work, creating electrical designs, and overseeing the hands-on installation of electrical systems.  Prepares the vessels’ electrical designs and materials, including developing drawings, generating technical specifications for materials, submitting accurate bills of material for designs, and collaborating with the Purchasing Department to select suppliers.  Also responsible for providing production support for electrical systems. Ensures designs are implemented according to project standards and requirements.  Assists in communicating project directions to electrical employees and developing weekly work plans for electrical activities.  Provides expertise and troubleshooting assistance during the installation process.  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.  3+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role within a marine environment, advanced working knowledge of electrical systems and ability to work from blueprints/technical drawings required.

Seeking a Sales Engineer to provide custom-engineered OEM part solutions for customers’ products in the R&D phase of the product development cycle.  This position will be responsible for developing and growing new and existing customer relationships in a long-cycle, repetitive-buy environment.  Customers include companies like John Deere, Caterpillar, Harley Davidson and Mercury Marine.  A strong technical ability and understanding of custom-engineered solutions is required in addition to a professional approach to sales and customer service.  Four-year degree in a related discipline and five-plus years of B2B sales experience required; prior OEM sales experience preferred.  A background in hydraulics, pneumatics or fluid transfer systems preferred.
